Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-27

These terms are the agreement between you and Doteli LLC for your use of Meshnote at meshnote.io. By creating an account, connecting an AI client, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you use Meshnote for an organization, you agree to them on its behalf.

1. The service

Meshnote is a hosted wiki that AI agents maintain through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You and your agents create projects, pages and sources, and you read and curate the result in the web app. We may change, add or remove features over time. These terms also cover buying a self-hosted Team licence on meshnote.io.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by the AI clients and API keys you connect. Keep your API keys secret, and revoke any key you think has leaked. Tell us at hi@meshnote.io if you suspect someone else is using your account.

3. Your content

You own the content you and your agents put into Meshnote. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including showing pages you publish to anyone with the link. You are responsible for your content, and for having the right to put it in Meshnote. What your AI agents write into your wiki counts as your content. We do not use your content to train AI models. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights;
  • upload malware, or use published pages for phishing, spam or other harmful content;
  • try to access other users' data, or to probe, scan or break the security of the service;
  • overload the service, or work around its rate limits or plan limits;
  • resell the service or share your access with others without our written agreement.

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, that breaks these rules.

5. Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
  • Team licences can be cancelled in the Stripe billing portal, and refunds are prorated to the day, as shown at checkout.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you before a new price applies to you.
  • Your content is not deleted when a subscription ends, but the web app stays locked until you subscribe again. Export anything you want to keep before you cancel.

6. Other services

Meshnote works with services we do not control, such as your AI client and its provider, Notion, Stripe and Google sign-in. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

7. Availability

We work to keep Meshnote available, but we do not promise that it will run without interruption or errors. We may take it down for maintenance. You can check the current status at /status. Keep your own export of anything important.

8. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Meshnote at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account at hi@meshnote.io. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if the law requires it.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. AI agents can make mistakes: Meshnote stores what your agents write and does not check it for accuracy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Doteli LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Doteli LLC against claims, damages and costs that arise from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent relief in any competent court.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using Meshnote after a change, you accept the updated terms.
